Nuestra historia
Our Genesis
(Well, More Like Exodus)
After being freed from slavery, God led his people through a journey in the desert to the promise land. Though they were not very good to God, He would hear their grumbles about how they would rather have died in Egypt or stayed as slaves instead of starving in the desert, and respond mercifully with making manna fall from the sky every day, providing them with just the amount they needed. Similarly, I would complain about what to do with my life, feeling directionless and purposeless. And like manna from the sky, the opportunity to work with a local coffee farmer to sell my favorite drink from my family’s hometown fell into my lap. The choice was now mine on how to respond to that call. God provided, just what I needed, when I least deserved it, once again. And here He is, through us, providing you your morning coffee with the best:
El Bendito Café (the blessed coffee)
Our Purpose
In Puerto Rican culture, we don't break bread without coffee. So for us, coffee has never been just coffee. It isn't just something we need when we are on the go, but instead, it has been a vital tool to slow us down and build fellowship with others. We don't want to just sell coffee, we want to bring people together, build community, demonstrate a beautiful aspect of Puerto Rican culture, and spread the love of Jesus Christ.
A Note from The Founder
Though the opportunity to work with a local coffee farmer from my family's hometown came seemingly by chance, and purely by divine provision, I started Café Maná as of means to plant a very important seed in our lives; a seed of love. This goes beyond my love for coffee, but actually love for people, my love for Jesus, and above all, The Father's love for us.
